Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

PROPOSED MIXED LAND-USE DEVELOPMENT TO AS THE VILLAGE EXT 22 ON PORTION 3, 74 AND 75 OF THE FARM VAN WYKS RESTANT 182 IQ, , GAUTENG PROVINCE

Expanded_Motivation: 

The applicant proposes to develop a new residential, business, and commercial development, which will be referred to as “the Village Ext 22”. The development will entail Residential 3 zoning (app 2,2158 hectares in extent), Business 3 zoning (app 1,0323 hectares in extent) and Commercial with motor showroom (app 0,9381 hectares in extent). Further land uses catered for include roads, and private open space. A tributary of the Crocodile River, named the Muldersdrif se Loop forms the eastern boundary of the study area. The area will not be developed, and will be zoned private open space (app 1,1994 hectares in extent). The development also makes provision for a road alignment that will align with the layout on the adjoining properties (aka ABSA land) – they provided a road width of 40 metres. The total size of the development is 6,5624 hectares in extent.
