Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

A new & modernised look and layout
Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Comment:

Following the receipt of Final Comment on Ngwedi Turn-ins Project, NGT Project & Heritage Consultants and SAHRA APM Unit advised the developer that the Marathodi Sites were sites of National Significance and that the developer should deviate its Transmission Line to avoid any disturbances or destruction to the Marathodi Sites. NGT Projects & Heritage Consultants was then appointed by the developer and its EAP to assess the new line deviations which avoid impacting on Marathodi Sites- thus the current HIA.
