About the Survey:

We split into two groups for most of the surveying. Jess Plasket headed the one group (group 2) and Nic Wiltshire took the other group (group 1).

On 21st The main focus was on the boulders and a low rocky ridge overlooking the Groenfontein farmhouse in the distance towards the west. We found a lot of sites given the relatively unpromising look of the terrain. Definitely would not consider this area completely surveyed.

On 22nd we surveyed Stompiesfontein with the aim of relocating Hym Rabinowitz and Simon Hall's sites. We found most of them and re-recorded them with digital photos and updated GPS coordinates.

On 23rd we surveyed sites near the Katbakkies road with the intent to relocate Hym's Katbakkies sites and find new ones. A few sites south of the road opposite our vehicles were located in the afternoon by Group 2 but there was no time to record them.. this area is rich in sites and definitely needs to be thoroughly surveyed.
