Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

It would appear that the original entry for this building is incorrect. The building was not erected by Benjamin Greenacre but it was in fact designed by the architects Street-Wilson for Joseph Chiazzari in 1896. The property was later sold to Benjamin Greenacre. Joseph Chiazzari bought land on the Berea, Musgrave Road, and had a large house built called “Il Nido”. This house was later sold to Benjamin Greenacre and renamed Caister House. Joseph bought more land in Musgrave Road and had a double storied house built, which he called Galloway House. (Source: Leslie Duckworth's great grandmother)
