Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Eskom has been requested by the Mahikeng Local Municipality to electrify Majematsho New Stands Mine as part of service delivery and universal access to electricity. The project is part of the 2023/2024 Electrification Plan. The development falls under Molopo CNC. It comprises 270 stands and with houses of Tin type. Electricity has been installed to some houses, no other services have been installed and with electricity to be installed by Eskom to new houses.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Install new overhead MV & LV infrastructure and supply 270 stands with service connections by installing the following: • 79 x 11mx160-179mm, 8 x 11mx180-199mm and 7 x 9mx180-199mm wood poles on MV. • 230 x 7mx120-139 and 270 x 5mx80mm wood poles on LV. • 105 x 2-way and 36 x 4-way P/T boxes • 13202m Fox ACSR conductor • 2308m x 35mm² and 7042m x 70mm 3-ph ABCs. • 7 x 100kVA and 1 x 50kVA transformers. • 270 x split smart meters, 270 x ready-boards and 8 x Data Concentrators. • 12890m x 6mm² Tinned CU Steel concentric cable. • 8 x 22kV 3ph offload fused links, 4 x 22kV solid links and 1 x 22kV tri-switch • 14 x 125A and 7 x 150A MCCBs on 100kVA transformers • 2 x 63A LV fuses and 1 x 80A MCCB on a 50kVA transformer. • Swing 9 x existing connections onto the new network
