Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

It's Victorian era fountain with mosaic grass decorating a lamp at the top. The lower half is a vase to hold water but currently holds soil for flowers. It's located in a public space next to the mall.
Original Position: The original cast iron fountain was destroyed in August 2015 when a speeding car smashed into it, and some of the pieces were stolen the fountain was rebuilt in aluminum and was installed in September 2020. It is rebuild in the same location.

Site History: It was a drinking trough for horses, standing on a traffic island on the intersection between Belmont Tiad and main Road. The historical cast iron was donated to the people of Rondebosch. It was declared a National Monument on 10 April 1964.
