Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Amafa/Heritage/Erfenis KwaZulu-Natal Advertisement: Principal Heritage Officer: Archaeology
(Pietermaritzburg - KZN)
Amafa/Heritage/Erfenis KwaZulu-Natal is looking for candidates with considerable experience to supervise and manage the Archaeology Section.
Requirements: A post graduate qualification in Archaeology. At least seven years experience in archaeological resource management sector. Demonstrated archaeological impact evaluation skills. Experience in heritage management in a heritage authority will be an advantage, as would collection management. Excellent written and verbal communication, supervision and management skills. Computer literate. Valid EB driver’s licence. ASAPA Membership.
Key Performance Areas: Manage the Archaeology Section: including compliance, collection management, site management, field work and archaeological projects management.
