Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Alterations & Additions to existing dwelling, Erf 18, 8 Daintree Avenue, Sydenham Durban, Ethekwini, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The dwelling is over 60 years old.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The property consists of 2 buildings, a Main Dwelling and an Outbuilding which encompasses a garage . The Main Building is a single storey structure, with a small basement component that forms storage areaS. The property is zoned for Residential and will continue to be used for this purpose. The existing Main building is not adequate enough to house my client, her family, as well as her extended family, hence the changes to the Internal footprint of the property. The Existing flow of the internal spaces, do not allow for the owners extended family. Therefore the owner wishes to make the internal dwelling spaces more comfortable and inviting ,to her growing family. The current bathroom fascilities are very old and also inadequate. These fascilities needs to be improved and internal spaces upgraded. The minor alterations as described in more detail in the attached documentation will improve and enhance the Look of the Existing house and is a much needed improvement.
