ProposalDescription:

We submitted building plans for two new dwellings on a farm 1264 in Simonduim at Drakenstein Muniscipality. They informed us that the aplication must first go to heritage (SARHA and HWC) for comment before the building plans can be aproved.

Expanded_Motivation:

The two new dwellings on farm 1264 (Antonisfontein) will be for my two grandchildren that is 25 and 21 years old. The houses will be built for them so that they can stay on the farm and help build up the farm and keep it in the family. Simonduim is a national heritage are but the two new dwellings should have no impact on the heritage of the location were the houses will be situated. The two new dwellings are very small (188 square meters each). The dwellings design is old style shape on the outside (looks like a farm house with a porch in the front). The new dwellings will also NOT be a double story house. If look on the photo’s provided, the ground around the two new dwellings is just grass (empty landscape, except the house next to it) for grazing for the cows. There are also no very old buildings near where the two new dwellings will be situated. The existing house next to witch the new dwellings will be build, was built in the year 2000’s. The two new dwellings are also located 200 – 300 meters from the R 45 main road and will not be that visible from the main road as it will be located mostly behind the existing house.
