Development Type:

ProposalDescription:

The NID proposal is for the desalination plant proposed on Erven 425, 433, Remainder of 420, 510 Glencairn Cape Town by the City of Cape Town.

Expanded_Motivation:

The site will be altered by the construction of a desalination plant, a proposed temporary facility to be operational for approximately two years. The site abuts the Main Road between Fish Hoek and Simonstown, in addition to two low scale (small footprint) structures and a medium scale house. The proposed desalination plant will result in the establishment of a temporary structure and associated pipeline structures between the Main Road and the railway line (and coastline). The pipeline is to be positioned adjacent to the historic Lower North Battery, also situated between the Main Road and the railway line (and coastline). Western Cape
