ProposalDescription:

Mitigation of palaeontological material from rubble removed during dam construction.

Expanded_Motivation:

During construction of a new Farm Dam on Langbos Citrus, Cretaceous marine invertebrates were disturbed. The matter was reported and Dr Rob Gess, acting for Rob Gess Consulting was asked to facilitate mitigation. Photos supplied depict fine specimens of Megatrigonia conocardiiformes. As mitigation it is envisaged that Dr Gess will excavate some good examples from the disturbed boulders for archiving in the Albany Museum as well as checking the site for other material and removing samples for the collection of the Albany Museum. The Dam is on the farm, Langbos Citrus, near Addo in the Eastern Cape.
