Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The project area is made up of Erf 21, Erf 294, Erf 31, Erf 19, Erf 18 of England; Erf 53, Erf 52, Erf 51, Erf 50, Erf 49, Erf 48, Erf 47, Erf 46, Erf 45, Erf 44, Erf 43, Erf 42, Erf 41, Erf 40 of Hollingwood and Portion of the Remaining Extent of Erf 1853 of Pietermaritzburg, Msunduzi Municipality, uMgungundlovu District.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The proposed Hollingwood Integrated Housing Development will entail the removal of indigenous vegetation for the construction of the following: • Approximately 570 Breaking New Ground (BNG) Housing Units • Approximately 245 GAP Housing Units • Approximately 256 Serviced Sites • Installation of pipelines for the transportation of water supply and waterborne sewage • Construction of internal roads and stormwater infrastructure (design and specifications of infrastructure will be confirmed during the EIA Process) • Erven will be set aside for active open space, conservation, creche, education and worship land uses.
