Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Temporary relocation of Sidingulwazi Primary School

The proposed placement of temporary facilities of the Sidingulwazi Primary School on adjacent open area on Erf 15856 Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Exigent Engineering Consultants has been appointed by Ilifa Africa Engineers, on behalf of the Development Bank of Southern Africa, to conduct the environmental authorisation and water use licence processes for the proposed placement of temporary facilities of the Sidingulwazi Primary School on a suitable site, to allow for construction works during the upgrade of the existing school. For the duration of the construction period, the school facilities will be temporarily relocated to an adjacent open area. Temporarily relocated facilities will include the following: * 12 x Park home Classrooms Units (20 Classrooms) * 2 x Grade R Classrooms * 10 x Precast Pit Girls Toilets * 5 x Precast Pit Boys Toilets * 1 x Park home Teacher’s Ablution (8 x Toilets) * 1 x Carport to Accommodate 16 Vehicles The following additional temporary accommodation will be provided: * 25 x Temporary Portable Toilets * 4 x Shadeport Awnings (8100 x 5000mm each) * 6 x Park homes (Double Unit = 12 Classrooms) * Perimeter Fence, Pedestrian & Vehicle Gates for Temporary School Upon completion of the upgrade to the school, the temporary facilities will be removed and developed into Sports Fields (1 x Combi Court, 1 x Netball Field & 1 x Large Soccer Field)
