Hi Nancy - I have experienced very slow internet access at both the BGG and Built Environment offices. Could you look into the following:
1. The ADSL speed at each office. Both offices must be on at least a 4Mbps line to use SAHRIS effectively.
2. Are they on uncapped packages?
3. For the BGG Unit - we can eliminate the fileserver as all of their work is now catered for on SAHRIS. What would the implications be if we got rid of the CISCO router and simply had an ADSL router up there? Surely this would be much easier to replace than a CISCO router in future should they go down again?
Thanks very much
Nic

All offices are on uncapped ADSL packages. I'm not sure of the speed, I'll follow up.
They no longer has a CISCO router - it was recently replaced by IS when it packed up, with another brand of adsl router. The router is part of the package with IS. It belongs to IS, they replace, we dont.
