Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

NOMINATIONS OF EXISTING CHURCHES TO BE NOMINATED ON THE SAHRA LIST
 
We would like to nominate churches in Cullinan to be declared as  National Heritage Sites.
 
Could you enlighten us (1) whether these churches are already listed as Heritage Sites at The South African Heritage Resources Agency?
                                      (2) which steps and format to follow to complete such a request.
 
We would appreciate a response as soon as possible at your convenience.
 
LIST OF CHURCHES TO BE NOMINATED:
  1. St. Georges Anglican Church corner-stone laid in 1908
  2. Masonic Lodge build in 1999
  3. St. Peter’s Catholic Church build in 1910
  4. Presbyterian Church, corner-stone laid in 1908
  5. First Dutch Reformed Church build in 1999 (changed to Baptist Church)
  6. Jehowa Whitnesses Hall
