Background: User Simphiwe made use of notebook whilst he PC was broken. He brought it back to IT on Monday, 15 October 2012, indicating that when he opened the lid, it was difficult to open, and when it finally did, two small screws fell out and the one seemed broken.

Luvo, please investigate the damage, and advise on way forward e.g. repair or write off.
The laptop is damaged as evidently it shows that it fell also the battery is damaged. i suggest that it should be claimed from the insurance
