Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred onĀ Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Sacred Sites Conference, March 18th 2013
SAHRA held a Sacred Sites Conference at Mapungubwe on the 18th March to coincide with the media launch of SAHRIS. Various dignitaries presented their views on these types of heritage sites in order to formulate a strategy for managing and protecting sacred sites.
The following video has some highlights from the day. A full report is being compiled by SAHRA to draw the recommendations made during the conference together.
