Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions:

  1. The object TSR 1/1 (4G) 9.4.1 must be clearly marked with the accession number. 
  2. The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession number, the name of the site, and the name and address of Mr De Beers or of the Ditsong Museum.
  3. The material must be hand carried by Mr De Beer unless written instructions to the contrary have been received from the repository, the Ditsong Museum
  4. The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than Mr Frikkie de Beer without the consent of SAHRA. SAHRA acknowledges that the blade will be analysed at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie Gmbh by Dr Nikolay Karjilov and at the Technischeuniversität in München by Dr Burkhard Schillinger.  
  5. The material shall be returned to South Africa on or before the end of June 2014 at the expense of Mr De Beer.
  6. SAHRA must be notified in writing of the return of the material, and a report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before the end of July 2014.
  7. Copies of all papers or publications resulting from this permit must be lodged with SAHRA.
  8. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  9. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
