This permit is issued to Dr Morris, Dr Grine and Prof. Willerslev for the sampling of nine faunal and five human remains from Equus Cave.
Conditions:
- The sampling may only be undertaken by trained and professional personnel under the supervision of Dr Grine or Prof. Willerslev.
- The sampling of the four human teeth and of the one human mandible may only be undertaken once the results of the analyses on the faunal material are considered successful for the extraction of aDNA.
- SAHRA must be informed when the analyses on the human material commences.
- A report on the results of the analyses must be submitted to SAHRA before the end of July 2015.
- Reprints of all published papers, or copies of theses or reports resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA.
- SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
- SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holders.
