Permits

This permit is issued to Ms Smith for the filming at Marapo Stones and Bones Casting Facilities within the boundaries of the Sterkfontein Caves National Heritage Site and World Heritage Site. 

Conditions:

1. SAHRA has noted the names of crew on site during filming to be as follows: David Harraway, Chris Mostert, David Mostert, Innocent Nkomo, Agnes Dhlamini
2. Ms Smith will monitor activities on site during filming. 
3. Ms Smith must be consulted prior to activities commencing on site to advise the crew on any archaeologically sensitive areas which must be avoided.
4. If Ms Smith may not be on site during filming, SAHRA must be provided with the name of the representative of the Management Authority of the Cradle of Humankind who will be supervising the filming. 
5. The amount of traffic, i.e. numbers of people on site, should be minimized as much as possible to avoid excessive disturbance of the site.
6. A report on activities related to the permit must be submitted to SAHRA on or before the end of August 2015. SAHRA reserves the right to withhold further permits if a report is not received or is not satisfactory.
7. Reprints of all reports/film resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA.
8. It is the responsibility of Ms Smith to obtain permission from the landowner for each visit.
9. The applicant shall be responsible for the activities and impacts of all colleagues and employees under his or her supervision and for their compliance with the terms of the permit.
10. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to protect sites during and after filming and to) to the satisfaction of SAHRA and the landowner.
11. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
12. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.
