Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

SiteComments: 

A farmstead with its associated buildings was identified at this location. The main house and other buildings were still intact and were occupied until recently before the property was sold to Exxaro . The main house measures approximately 20m x 20m and has a pitched corrugated iron roof . A kitchen and more rooms were added later to the back of the building. The original building has thick external walls which were plastered and painted.
