Permits

This permit is issued to Dr Riaan Rifken of the University of Pretoria in association with Dr Pernille Olsen of the Natural History Museum of Denmark for the export 12 sediment samples (BRS Sediment Samples) and one intact coprolite (BRS M4D1) from the site of Bushman Rock Shelter, Limpopo Province of South Africa. The material will be exported to the  Centre for Geogenetics, Natural History Museum of Denmark

Conditions:

1. The samples must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession numbers, the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder or the repository.
2. The material must be hand carried or sent via a reputable professional courier service unless written instructions to the contrary have been received from the repository or SAHRA.
3. The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than to Pernille Selmer Olsen  of the Natural History Museum of Denmark without the consent of SAHRA.
4. The material shall be returned to South Africa on or before 30 September 2017 at the expense of either Dr Riaan Rifken or Dr Pernille Olsen. The material shall be curated at the Polokwane Museum with the rest of the collection from Bushman Rock Shelter. 
5. SAHRA must be notified in writing of the return of the material, and a report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before 30 September 2017.
6. Copies of all papers or publications resulting from this permit must be lodged with SAHRA.
7. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
8. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
