This permit is issued to Dr Justin W. Adams (Monash University) in association with Dr Shaw Badenhorst (Ditsong Museu,) and Dr Luca Fiorenza (Monash University) for the export of 10 hominin teeth specimens. The specimens will be subject to stable isotope and trace element analysis by Dr Renaud Joannes-Boyau at Southern Cross University, New South Wales. It is noted that the specimens will first be exported to Monash University and thereafter hand carried by either Dr Adams or Dr Fiorenza to the lab of Dr Joannes-Boyau.
Conditions:
- The objects or specimens must be clearly marked with accession numbers.
- The material must be cut along the lines as indicated in the pdf attached to the application.
- The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession numbers, the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder and the Ditsong Museum of National History.
- The material must be hand carried to Monash University and Southern Cross University and back to Ditsong Museum by either Dr Adams or Dr Fiorenza.
- The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than Dr Adams and Dr Fiorenza of Monash University and Dr Joannes-Boyau of South Cross University, New South Wales, without the consent of SAHRA.
- The material shall be returned to South Africa on or before 30 June 2018 at the expense of permit holders.
- SAHRA must be notified in writing of the return of the material, and a report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before 30 June 2018.
- Copies of all papers or publications resulting from this permit must be lodged with SAHRA.
- SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
- SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
