Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Thank you for notifying SAHRA about the proposed maintenance work at the Old Assembly and Poorthuis Buildings. It is noted that the Old Assembly and Poorthuis are Grade I heritage resources and Declared National Heritage Sites. 

The following documents were reviewed:

- Old Assembly Conditions Assessment

- Method Statement - Roof and Panel Removal  and Refitting

- Precinct Backlog Maintenance Instruction

- Old Assembly Conditions Photo

- Old Assembly BOQ Asbestos Extract

SAHRA has no objection to the proposed maintenance work at the Old Assembly Building and Poorthuis Building. A closeout report must be uploaded to the case on SAHRIS upon completion of the project with photographs of the completed work.
