Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions: 

SAHRA has no objection to the the proposed 'Arch for an Arch' project as presented by the applicant in the supporting documentation uploaded on SAHRIS.

It is recommended that:

1. The project continue as per the supporting documentation uploaded onto SAHRIS.

2. SAHRA should be made aware of any deviation to the project scope and specifications.

3. Public notice should be ongoing throughout the duration of the project with visible on site notice. 

4. A qualified archaeologist be present at all times during any subsurface activities for the duration of the project.

5. A close out report (with photographs of the completed works) must be uploaded onto SAHRIS upon completion of the project.
