Permits

1. Crew members on site during filming will be Luke Wiles (Director), Emma Houghton-Brown (Assistant Producer), one Director of Photography and one Sound Operator.

2. Monitoring and supervision will be done by Prof. Lee Berger (University of the Witwatersrand).

3. Filming will take place at the entrance of the Rising Star cave.

4. Filming equipment consists of one RED Weapon camera, tripod and sound kit.

5. Filming will take place for the duration of 2 days in September 2017.

6. The amount of traffic, i.e. numbers of people on site, should be minimised as much as possible to avoid excessive disturbance of the site.

7. A report on activities related to the permit must be submitted to SAHRA on or before the 31 October 2017. SAHRA reserves the right to withhold further permits if a report is not received or is not satisfactory.

8. Copies of the filming resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA on or before the 31 October 2018.

9. SAHRA acknowledges the submitted landowner permission to film at the Rising Star cave.

10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.

11. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.

12. This permit is subject to a general appeal and may be suspended should an appeal against the decisions be received by SAHRA within 14 days from the date of the permit. SAHRA may not be held responsible for any costs or losses incurred in the event of the suspension or retraction of this permit.

13. Request to renew permits must be done at least two months prior to the expiry of the existing permit.
