Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

History:
Visual Description: Corner house with wing on right side and street verandah (Caledon Street). Saddle roof and covered gables which have fretwork bargeboarding, finials and semi-circle, vent in Milner Street. Walls have rustication, plain corner moulds and heavy eyebrow mouldings. Verandah with hipped ogee roof on rusticated square pillars on dipped walls. 4 panel (arched upper panels) single door and plain fanlight. 2 x 2 sashes with louvred shutters. Karoo-type extension in Milner Street with moulded parapet.
