Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Visual Description: L-plan house with pitched gabled corrugated iron roof. Abuts neighbours. Shouldered end gables (with pinnacles) and covered triangular front gables, 2 in Bourke Street. One in van Ryneveld Square. Arched loft doors in end gables and arched louvred ventilators in front gables. Plastered walls. Stone stoep in both streets. Modern replica 4 panel front door with 2 pane fanlight. (Bourke Street). Facade to Van Ryneveld Square has modern glazed door. 12 x 12 sashes with louvred shutters. Small steel window (bath) in van Ryneveld Square. High chimneys with VRS gable and on ridge behind front gable on Van Ryneveld Square. Extension to Van Ryneveld Square incorporating wide arched opening with slatted double gate. Situated under same parapet as extension of no.17 Van Ryneveld Square.
Colours: White walls. Dark green woodwork.
