Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout

History: This impressive Victorian double-storeyed house was designed by the architect A. W. Ackerman and built by one Mannix for Lewis Anthony Vintcent from 1882 to 1883.The building has been used since 1925 as the official residence for principals of the University of CapeTown.
