Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Visual Description: A rectangular house, 2 rooms deep, but with a roof of only 7 m span. The end-gables have been clipped, but the square and pedimented front gable, dated 1854, is an excellent example of its type; the 8-panelled door and the sashes date from the same time. The veranda is later and the back of the house has been altered. Corrugated iron roof has been replaced by thatch.
