Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions: 

The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) issues this Permanent Export Permit to the applicant; Charlotte Schachat; for the permanent export of the artwork, African Woman by Pranas Domsaitis (undated artwork). The artwork is due to be sold and exported to Ramune Ambrozitis, in California USA.

The following conditions must be applied:

  • This permit is only valid if accompanied by the attached Inventory of Permitted Objects Issued Under SAHRIS PermitID: 2667.
  • The SAHRA must be informed if the objects are not exported. 
  • The SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit. 
  • In accordance with the application received on 05 December 2017, should any appeal against the issuing of this permit be received by SAHRA within fourteen days of the date of this permit, the permit will be suspended pending the outcome of the appeal. Should an appeal be lodged, it is the responsibility of the applicant to return the objects to South Africa at their own expenditure. The objects may not be sold during the 14 day window period from the issuing of this permit.
  • SAHRA shall not be held liable for any losses incurred resulting from the suspension of the permit. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.
