Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

This permit is issued to Dr Dominic Stratford on behalf of Mr Daniel Tasker in collaboration with Dr Matthew V. Caruana to sample Acheulean lithics for geochemical analysis. It is noted that this research forms part of Mr Tasker's Master's research. 

Conditions:

  1. The samples must be clearly marked with accession numbers.
  2. The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession numbers, the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder or the University of Witwatersrand .
  3. The samples must be kept for study purposes only, and may not be sold or exchanged.
  4. The sampling methodology will consists of the sampling of 0.1 grams of sampling of each object for a total of 90 samples. 
  5. The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than Dr Robert Bolhar, University of the Witwatersrand School of Geosciences without the consent of SAHRA.
  6. Copies of any papers that may result from the export of the material must be lodged with SAHRA. A report must be submitted to SAHRA on or before 31 March 2020
  7. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  8. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
