Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Directions: 

south-eastern which is in an area of quarrying relating to the railway and roadworks.

SiteComments: 

Potentially of far greater significance are relatively small ‘pans’ which appear in fact to be dolines or ‘plugged’ sink holes which occur within the distribution of the development. Two doline-like depressions occur between the suggested PV Array areas 9 and 10 which may contain significant archaeology. These may represent features similar to the Kathu Pan archaeological sites.
