Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Thank you for notifying SAHRA about the proposed additions and alterations to the Parliamentary kitchens in the Marks Building and 90 Plein Street. It is noted that the Marks Building, 90 Plein Street and the Parliament Pecinct as a whole is a Grade 1 heritage Resource and a declared National Heritage Site.

SAHRA does not object to the above mentioned proposed intervention as it does not pose any negative impacts on the heritage fabric of the Marks Building, 90 Plein Street and the Parliament Precinct as a whole.

As a condition to this permit a close out report must be uploaded to the case on SAHRIS upon completion of the project with photographic evidence of the completed works.
