Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

This permit is issued to Mr Reinier Bronn (Reinier Bronn Architects & Associates CC) for the demolition of a small dilapidated section of a historic stone wall dating back to the Anglo-Boer War, situated on Erf 30113, 51 Kameeldoring Street, Woodland Hills Wildlife Estate, Bloemfontein, Free State Province. The section will be affected by the construction of a residential dwelling (SAHRIS CaseID 14756).

Conditions:

  1. An archaeologist must monitor the ground-clearing and demolition of the stone wall. SAHRA must be provided with the name of the archaeologist prior to any related activities.
  2. Adequate recording methods as specified in the Regulations and Guidelines pertaining to the National Heritage Resources Act must be employed.  The position of all stones removed must be marked on a plan of site.
  3. The stones removed from the wall may be stored on site. 
  4. A final report on the results of the demolition must be emailed to apmpermitreports@sahra.org.za at or before 31 August 2020 using the template in the following link: https://sahris.sahra.org.za/content/apmpermitreports.
  5. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  6. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
  1. Request to renew permits must be done at least two months prior to the expiry of the existing permit.
