SiteComments:

Lower part of Abrahamskraal Fm. (probably Combrinkskraal Member equivalent). Thin (c. 20-30 cm thick), fine-grained tabular sandstone overlying hackly- weathering grey-green overbank mudrocks. Well-developed rusty-brown, sphaeroidal carbonate concretions with a rusty-brown ferruginised cortex situated within and just below sandstone bed. Internally, some of the concretions are septarian with a pale grey interior. Several examples were examined for fossils, without success. This horizon might be usefully traced out along strike to the west.
