Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Wonderwerk Cave Filming Permit

Conditions: 

1. Filming will take place at Wonderwerk Cave National Heritage Site, Kuruman District, Northern Cape Province.

2. Crew members on site during filming will be Govert Schilling (narrator / presenter), Paul Koning (production manager), Stefan Wittekamp (director) and Stijn van Santen (camera / DOP).

3. Monitoring and supervision must be done by Dr David Morris (McGregor Museum).

4. Filming equipment consists of 1 x FX9 Sony camera with tripod.

5. Filming will take place on 24 November 2020.

6. The amount of traffic, i.e. numbers of people on site, should be minimised as much as possible to avoid excessive disturbance of the site.

7. A report on activities related to the permit must be must be emailed to apmpermitreports@sahra.org.za on or before the 24 November 2021 using the template in the following link: https://sahris.sahra.org.za/content/apmpermitreports. SAHRA reserves the right to withhold further permits if progress is not deemed satisfactory. Permit reports can be made available to researchers on request within three years of the lapsing of this permit.

8. Copies of the filming resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA on or before the 24 November 2021.

9. SAHRA acknowledges the submitted landowner permission to film at Wonderwerk Cave National Heritage Site.

10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.

11. This permit is subject to a general appeal and may be suspended should an appeal against the decisions be received by SAHRA within 14 days from the date of the permit. SAHRA may not be held responsible for any costs or losses incurred in the event of the suspension or retraction of this permit.

12. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.
