SiteComments:

Surface scatter of middle stone age stone artefacts were documented sporadically over the entire area within the exposed areas. The stone artefact scatters comprise mainly of blades, flakes and cores made on a variety of raw materials such as hornfels, shale, chert, chalcedony, fine grained quartzite and some silcrete. It was noted within the exposed donga areas that the middle stone age stone artefacts occurred between the current ground level to between 30cm and 50cm below the ground. later stone age stone artefacts and possible retouches and utilised glass pieces also occurred together with the middle stone age artefact scatters as well as around nearby koppies. Some porcelain, stoneware, glass and pieces of iron and copper were also documented on the flat exposed bedrock surfaces.
