Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Heritage Study- Victoria West

SiteComments: 

St John's Anglican Church. Simple four-bay Neo-Gothic Hall Church with high walls and high saddle-roof. Narrow pointed twin windows and stepped buttresses between them and in the corners. Entrance  has a pointed gable with shoulders and edge-mouldings. Pointed arched double door: stained glass window on end-wall. Street wall with pillars and cast-iron railings gates. Stone wall along back boundary. A simple but pleasant church of local architectural and cultural value   and should be investigated for possible proclamation (AC).
