Permits

This permit is issued to Dr. Francois Odendaal of EcoAfrica Environmental Consultants (Pty) Ltd for Filming at Sibhudu Cave for the production of an Integrated Conservation Management Plan.


1. Crew members on site during filming will be Dr. Francois Odendaal (Director), Mr. Jeandre Gerding (Cameraman) and Mr Sipho Masimula (Camera Assistant).

2. Monitoring and supervision will be done by Dr. Mxolisi Dlamuka (Head of Secretariat and Administration, KZN Amafa and Research Institute).

3. Filming will take place at the Sibhudu Cave National Heritage Site, KwaZulu-Natal.

4. Filming equipment consists of Instakit, GoPro, Cameras, Lens, Tripod, Slider.

5. Filming will take place for a duration of 3 days from 03 March 2021 to 05 March 2021.

6. The amount of traffic, i.e. numbers of people on site, should be minimised as much as possible to avoid excessive disturbance of the site.

7. A report on activities related to the permit must be submitted to SAHRA on or before the 31 March 2022. SAHRA reserves the right to withhold further permits if a report is not received or is not satisfactory.

8. Copies of the filming resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA on or before the 31 March 2022.

9. Arrangements must be made by the permit holder with the landowner to gain access to the property.

10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
