Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

The validity of this permit is subject to the applicant receiving an export permit issued by the Central Firearms Registry of the South African Police Service, for the same firearm(s) covered in this permit.
This permit is only valid if accompanied by the attached Inventory of Permitted Object(s) Issued Under SAHRIS PermitID: 3261.

  • The SAHRA must be informed in writing if the object(s) are not exported.
  • Due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, all permits issued during the lockdown will remain valid until the lockdown has been lifted.
  • The SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  • In accordance with the application received on 21 August 2020, should any appeal be lodged with SAHRA against the issuing of this permit within the fourteen-day appeal period, the permit will be suspended pending the outcome of the appeal.
  • The permitted object(s) may only be exported once the permit becomes valid on the dates indicated below, and the permit holder has the required approvals from the Central Firearms Registry and the South African Police Service.
  • The SAHRA shall not be held liable for any losses incurred resulting from the suspension of the permit.
  • The SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder
