Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions: 

This Permit is issued to allow for the destruction of Eight (8) Historical-Archaeological Sites on Portion 2 of the Farm Zwartkoppies 364 JR, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province. The 8 Sites will be affected by a proposed housing development. 

Conditions:

  1. This permit is issued to Mr. Jaco van der Walt of Heritage Contracts and Archaeological Consulting (HCAC).
  2. If Mr. van der Walt is not to be present on the site at all times, then SAHRA must be provided with the names and qualifications of the authorised representatives.
  3. Monitoring of the site by Mr. van der Walt, or a representative approved by SAHRA, is compulsory for the entire duration of the work undertaken under this permit. 
  4. This permit covers the destruction of sites (ZK09, ZK10, ZK64, ZK65, ZK66, ZK67, ZK68, & ZK69) after successful mitigation work under SAHRA permit (3186). 
  5. A destruction report must be emailed to apmpermitreports@sahra.org.za on or before 31 December 2021. 
  6. Reprints of all published papers or copies of theses and/or reports resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA.
  7. If a published report has not appeared within three years of the lapsing of this permit, the report required in terms of the permit will be made available to researchers on request.
  8. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  9. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
