Permits

The following conditions apply:

1.Written reports before and after work is done must be submitted to the KwaZulu-Natal Amafa and Research Institute so as to inform the Institute about the progress and activities of the proposed exhumation and relocation.
2.A qualified and experienced specialist in the graves, digging, fossils, archaeology as well as in the exhumation and relocation of graves must monitor and supervise all work from the initial phase to the final phase.

Documentation requested before the commencement of work:
1.Plans of the proposed new burial grounds.
2.For the unidentified graves, new locations must be clearly marked.

1. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE CONDITIONS WILL RENDER ANY ACTIVITY CONDUCTED UNLAWFUL, AND KWAZULU NATAL AMAFA AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS PERMIT AND TO INSTITUTE CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL ACTION AGAINST THE PERSON/S RESPONSIBLE.
2. The issuing of this permit does not exempt the Applicant from compliance with any other law, where applicable.
