ProposalDescription:

Proposed Alterrations & Additions to ERF 2672, 23 Beachway, Durban North, Durban, Ethekwini, Kwazulu-Natal , Drawing 22-362/01/02/03

Expanded_Motivation:

This Residence was built in 1947 and has always been used as a residential house. We feel that it's style of Architecture has no historical relevance or significance. With regard to the style of the existing building, it has never been altered besides the addition of an extra garage in 1973. The Original house is styled in a design of houses of the time. The existing house has no distinct appeal or architectural significance. This property has been recently purchased by its owner. The Property is Zoned as Special Residential 1200 which permits the use of the dwelling as a home business which deals with the development of a Health & Beauty Clinic. As the Owner's wife is a professional on this field of business, they has decided to convert the front portion of the house into a Health and Beauty Clinic. The back portion of the house will remain a Residence. As the existing Cottage is of poor quality and stability, it was decided to demolish it and build a new two bedroom cottage with a design that will make best use of the existing swimming pool.
