Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

This permit is only valid if accompanied by the attached Inventory of Permitted Object(s) Issued Under SAHRIS PermitID: 4124.

The validity of this permit is subject to the applicant receiving an export permit issued by the Central Firearms Registry of the South African Police Service, for the same firearm(s) covered in this permit.

  • The SAHRA must be informed in writing if the object(s) are not exported.
  • The SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  • In accordance with the application received on 26 November 2021 and compliant in March 2023, should any appeal be lodged with SAHRA against the issuing of this permit within the fourteen-day appeal period, the permit will be suspended pending the outcome of the appeal.
  • Should an appeal be lodged against the issue of this permit, the object must be returned to South Africa at the expense of the applicant or relevant third party;
  • The permitted object(s) may only be exported once the permit becomes valid on the dates indicated below, and the permit holder has the required approvals from the Central Firearms Registry and the South African Police Service.
  • The SAHRA shall not be held liable for any losses incurred resulting from the suspension of the permit.
  • The SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.
