Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Directions: 

On riverside slope of lowest of the two natural terraces at this point. Scatter was just visible in lowest part of field next to fence, and immediately above steep slope to river Mngeni. Elevation:

As seen, it was a small and not very rich scatter about 10 metres in extent just above the river in a field. Looking higher up the field, away from the edge of the terrace I could not see anything but it could be more extensive with a careful look.
Artefacts include two Ntshekane-type sherds, one with graphite burnish and a broken piece of typical Early Iron Age lower grindstone.
