SiteComments:

Cairn of stones covered with soil - now partly exposed - on pathway to the valley. The break in the cliffs forms a natural pathway to the valley below. there is no other break in the cliffs for some kilometres on either side. It is fairly old as the local Africans do not know what it is, also it contained a fair amount of soil which must have accumulated over a number of years. The soil has since been washed away during heavy rains after the initial damage. The area is too steep for cultivation which rules out stone clearance.
