Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Acquired directly from the artist by Nicholaas Marais ('Klaas') Hoogenhout
Thence by direct descent to the present owner

N M Hoogenhout or "Klaas" as he was known was a good friend and colleague of the artist and was founder of the Afrikaanse Taalgenootskap", the Afrikaans Language Society. He was also principal of Pretoria Normaalkollege, and rector of the University of Pretoria from 1925-27.
