Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Acquired in 2006 by the African Sky Trust from Burr and Muir Antiques.

Provenance prior to 2006 unknown. In 1989/88, was in the collection of Professor and Mrs HJ Simons, as per details in publications: Cohen, L. 1989. Gerard Sekoto: Unsevered Ties Johannesburg: Johannesburg Art Gallery p. 31; Lindop, B. 1988 Gerard Sekoto Randburg: Dictum p. 103.
