Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Provenance: 

The rifle was manufactured in c.1874 in the U.S.A and was imported into South Africa in the late 1890's.  The rifle had been in the possession of the Van Vuuren family for several generations, being passed down through inheritance, until it was purchased by Panzer Logistics.
The rifle has no known links to any historical events of figures.
